While our products contain organic pea protein derived from organic, non-GMO peas, in order for a product to be considered in the “organic” category, it must contain at least 95% organic ingredients, and the remaining 5% must be either organically produced (unless commercially unavailable) or allowed based on the national list. Our Essential Protein products are not organic because our novel formulation contains some ingredients that are not on the national list, like L-Methionine, to provide a complete amino acid profile. We believe these ingredients are worth it.
